1860 Henry rifle made in 1863, Factory engraved by J Hoggson using Deluxe grain Walnut for the stock. The W on the rear lower tang indicates that this rifle was made under the direct supervision of Oliver F. Winchester. One of the earliest known Henry rifle's with the W mark. This Henry was most likely used in the Civil War.
H.V. Jobe March 18, 1890 incised on the interior of the right side plate probably with a knife point. This is probably the day he purchased this fine Henry rifle. H.V. Jobe, was born in Prairie Grove, Arkansas in 1869 and passed away in Oklahoma in 1951.
