Product Description

M1 Garand by Springfield Armory Inc., NEW, 30.06 cal., has never been fired. This is a new post U.S.(Federal) Springfield manufactured M1 U.S. rifle caliber .30

Note Springfield Armory Inc., does not make M1 Garands anymore. They still make very nice M1A ( the civilian version of the M14) which is semiautomatic only.

“The M1 Garand is a .30-06 caliber semi-automatic rifle that was the standard U.S. service rifle during World War II and the Korean War and also saw limited service during the Vietnam War. Most M1 rifles were issued to U.S. forces, though many hundreds of thousands were also provided as foreign aid to American allies. The Garand is still used by drill teams and military honor guards. It is also widely used by civilians for hunting, target shooting, and as a military collectible.“

"Springfield Armory commercial production

In 1982, years after the closure of the U.S. Springfield Armory, a commercial firm – Springfield Armory, Inc. – began production of the M1 Rifle using a cast, heat-treated receiver with serial numbers in the 7,000,000+ range, along with commercially produced barrels (marked Geneseo, IL) and G.I. military surplus parts." Wikipedia source.

Note this is what this example is, but please note the bolt is GI issue. These are rear items now, especially one that has never been used.

Most countries in WWII (on both side) were still using bolt action rifles that were designs from the First War when we had the M1! 8 round of 30.06 down range as fast as you could pull the trigger! General Patton thought it was the best weapon ever designed for war.

Please look at all photos, thanks!
