Product Description

1860 Henry rifle made in 1863, Factory engraved by J. Hoggson using Deluxe grain Walnut for the stock. The "W" on the rear lower tang indicates that this rifle was made under the direct supervision of Oliver F. Winchester. One of the earliest known Henry rifle's with the W mark. This Henry was most likely used in the Civil War, although we do not know who owned at that time.

Mr. H.V. Jobe on March 18, 1890 incised on the interior of the right side plate probably with a knife point his name and the date.  This is probably the day he purchased this fine Henry rifle. H.V. Jobe, was born in Prairie Grove, Arkansas in 1869 and passed away in Oklahoma in 1951.

There is a George Madis letter of authentication for this Henry. No FFL required. Sold
