280 Remington was developed by necking down a 30-06 cartridge to accept a 7mm (.280 caliber) bullet. It was developed in 1957 and was released to the market that same year. The cartridge saw mixed success do to confusing naming conventions and poor marketing. While it never became an enromous commerical success it developed a small cohort of die-hard fans who loved it for it's flat trajectory, moderate recoil, and it's abilit to take down both moderateley sized and big game animals.

For sale here is a vintage box of Reming ton brand "Hi-Speed" ammo. The box itself is in decent condition with some discoloration. It includes 20 280 Remington 150 grain soft point cartridges. While the box does indeed contain 20 rounds, there are 3 that appear to be too corroded to shoot. WE DO NOT RECCOMEND SHOOTING ANY ROUNDS SHOWING SIGNS OF CORROSION!
