A.H. Fox was founded in Pennsylvania in 1905 and was known for making some of the finest American side by side shotguns. The company was bought by Savage Arms in 1929 and they continued to produce the Fox guns (Not to be mistaken with the Savage Fox Models) through the 1940's. The Fox Sterlingworth was the no frills, affordable, “working mans” shotgun of the AH Fox lineup. This AH Fox was manufactured in 1935. It is chambered in 12 gauge and is chambered for 3in shells. The barrel are 32in long. Both barrels feature a modified choke. The bores of both barrels to not appear to show signs of pitting. Surface of the barrels show some minor scratching and VERY MINOR discoloration near the muzzles. Receiver shows some scratches and VERY MINOR discoloration. This shotgun has double triggers and features ejectors. Wooden stock shows minor dings and scratches from use. Checkering is in great shape. The original butt plate was replaced with a “KICKEEZ” butt pad. THIS SHOTGUN COMES WITH A LETTER!
Length of Pull from front trigger is 15in. Length of pull from rear trigger is 14 1/4in. Drop at Comb is 1 3/4in. Drop at Heel is 2 3/4in.
