Loading... Please wait...The Walther P38 was designed to replace the Luger P08 pistol for the Wehrmacht. While the P08 was reliable and commercially successful, it was expensive to produce. The P38 was half the cost, took half the time to produce and was just as reliable as the P08. They were chambered in 9x19mm and have 5in long barrels. Walther P38s began production in 1939 and ended in 1945. It should be noted that production of these pistols picked up again in the late 40s and saw use in several militaries and police forces until the 60’s and still sees some use today amongst guerillas and police forces across the globe.
For sale here is a REPRODUCTION of a P38 holster. It is a hard shell made with black leather. All pockets and pouches open just as they should. On the back of the holster there are markings that read "JMFX cny 1940" and another that reads "P38". An excellent purchase for P38 owners who want a functional holster and WWII enthusiasts! Actual weight 11oz.
