NAVAL SAMURAI SWORD LATE WWII, signed under handle see photos

SOLD American GI bring back from the Korean war. Remember WWII ended in 1945 (46) on the Korean Peninsula and the Korean War started in 1950. The brass "Habki" is loose with a small slit in it, see photos. Skate or Shark skin "Same" wrap is intact as well a silk cord grip wrapping "Tsuka ito". Note the color of grip wrap cord "Tsuka ito" is a Dark Blue/Green Teal, for Navy or Foreign service formal dress. Maybe Japanese Korean Police? Blade is very nice and shiny. This is not a family sword but a hand made mass produced one. Look at all photos. Note the Cherry blossom acceptance mark too.
