These gas operated semi-automatic rifles were chambered in 30-06 (though some later models were produced in 7.62x51 NATO) and fed via en bloc clips. his rifle was so beloved by American forces that General George S. Patton once called the M1 "The greatest battle implement ever devised."
The M1 garand for sale here come from the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) and is on good condition! It is chambered in 30-06. The barrel reads "3 SA1/45", meaning it was produced in January of 1945. It has a CMP muzzle rating of 2, a throat reading of 2+. It has em bloc tip bullet marks on the stock. There's some VERY slight discoloration on the metal parts. The stock and forearm has some scratches and dings on the wood.
