SOLD This is a World War One (the Great War) COLT 1911 made in 1918. Please note it does not have the cut out for larger fingers, it has the straight grip not curved, and it has the smaller “Beavertail“ of the style of the original Colts Pistols. These changes/improvements were not instituted until 1924, in the 1911A1. This pistol comes with the holster and the mag pouch dated October 1918, this is truly an amazing piece of World War One history. The grip safety spring may have been disabled or remove by the trooper who carried it.
