Loading... Please wait...The 1911 is one of the most iconic pistols in American history. Designed by John Browning, and chambered in 45ACP (though they can be purchased in multople cartridges now), it was officially adopted by the US Armed forces where it saw heavy use in WWI, WWII, and Vietnam. While it has been mostly replaced by other semi-automatic pistols is still sees use on certain special units in the US military, other militaries, and is beloved by collectors and average citizens!
For sale here is a very unique 1911! Judging by the serial number we believe this 1911A1 may have seen some action in WWII. At one point this was a pistol comprising entirley of Ithica parts. At some point though it may have seen a little "too much" action, and the slide was replaced with a Remington brand slide, making this a "Franken" 1911A1. Bore it in good shape (see pictures). Grips are in great shape! Metal parts are in decent shape. On thre left side of the frame there are stamps reading "P" and "FKA". On the left side of the trigger guard there is a stamp we can't make out. On the right side of the frame there are stamps reading "UNITED STATES PROPERTY No 1271868" and "M 1911 A1 U.S.ARMY" On the right side of the trigger guard there is a stamp reading "2". Come with two 7 round magazines, one of which is sealed in brown paper.
Don't miss your chance to pick up this VERY unique 1911A1!
