The Winchester model 94 lever action rifle is one of the most famous and popular rifles produced in the United States. This rifle was designed by John Browning in 1894 and was one of the first commerical lever actions to fire rounds using smokeless powder. It was chambered in a number of cartridges including but not limited to 32-40 Winchester, 38-55 Winchester, 25-35 Winchester, 32 Winchester Special, and most notably 30-30 Winchester. While being a deer hunting rifle was it's claim to fame it also some military use (mostly with reserve forces, militias, pirson guards. Also US Army Guards of US factorys, French Armys Motorcycle messagers and British Navy Q-Ship in WWI). It has been in production for over 120 years and is still manufactured by Winchester to this day.

The rifle for sale here was manufactured in 1897 and is rather unique. It has a cylindrical barrel as opposed to an octagonal barrel, and has a shorter than average tubular magazine. These changes make this rifle ideal for carrying all day while out hunting deer. This 94 is chambered in 30-30 (30WCF) and has a 26in barrel. Actual weight is 6lb 10z (shipping weight will be higher). There's moderate amounts of scratches, dings, and discoloration on the wood and metal parts (see pictures) but is overall in good condition! The perfect buy for lovers of old Winchesters and the 30-30 cartridge!
